We will begin each session by determining your personal goals and expectations for that treatment. If you have an injury or chronic pain condition you are trying to resolve, we will assess and attempt to determine the nature and cause of the issue in order to determine the best treatment approach.
First treatments begin with completing and reviewing your health history form. After determining that we can give you a safe and effective treatment, we will typically conduct an assessment. Using the results of your assessment we can determine an appropriate treatment plan and decide which massage therapy treatments and modalities would give you the best potential outcomes to meet your goals.
People coming in for a relaxation treatment will not require as much extensive assessment, but we will still need to determine that we can treat you safely.
During your appointment, we ask that you be the guide as far as your personal comfort levels go. Each individual and each condition responds differently to our treatment techniques, and while we can gauge some of the response of your soft tissues, we rely on you to let us know if there is anything that becomes uncomfortable or painful. We modify our treatments according to each individual, and have a wide variety of techniques at our fingertips that enable us to tailor the treatment to your comfort level to give you the best results.
